1986 Fender Flame MIJ

$2,450.00

The 1986 Fender Flame is an unusual and increasingly collectible Japanese-made Fender from the mid-1980s, produced during a period when Fender Japan was earning an excellent reputation for build quality. Designed as a humbucker-driven alternative to Fender’s traditional Stratocaster and Telecaster models, the Flame featured a compact double-cutaway body, smooth set-neck construction and dual Tim Shaw designed humbucking pickups for a broad range of powerful tones. The styling and specifications are high-performance oriented while retaining Fender’s typically comfortable feel and strong craftsmanship. Produced for only a relatively short period, the Flame is considerably less common than mainstream Fender models. This 1986 example is particularly clean, original and an excellent player.
