This 1971 Fender Custom Telecaster is as pristine a guitar as we have seen for many years. It is in immaculate condition and plays beautifully.
Tele Customs are rare and this example in only a year before Fender switched to the hum bucker equipped model of the early-late 70s. With a large neck profile, maple fingerboard, and double bound three tone sunburst body, this is a truly special model.
The previous owner elected to retro fit a newer 250k wiring harness along with Mick Brierly pickups for a bolder slightly more modern sound. However the original wiring, pickups and control plate were saved and we have reinstalled these so the guitar, other than the refret and soldering to reconnect the original electric is factory standard.
The guitar comes in it’s pristine original hard case with it’s ashtray bridge cover! How often do you see that…
