Gary Petrisic is an Australian luthier, based in Toronto NSW. His instruments are produced in small numbers with an emphasis on premium tonewoods, traditional craftsmanship and individually-voiced construction. He is particularly well known for innovative acoustic guitar designs, including neck-body joints that are adjustable or removable for travel purposes.
This classical guitar features a range of very attractive tonewoods including a fine-grained, traditionally fan-braced tight-grained Spruce top, spectacular figured curly Mahogany back and sides and a straight grained Mahogany neck. Australian timbers feature in the figured, dense Sheoak fretboard and headstock overlay, while the bridge looks to be of very dark Western Acacia. The inlaid Rosette features varying colour tones of Birdseye Maple.
A unique celebration of attractive tone woods all contributing to a strong, well balanced voice that projects well and is a pleasure to play, with the advantage of a neck-body joint that is adjustable to the player’s preferred action (string height) via brass hex-socket flat head screws accessed internally on the neck block. Comes with a hard case.
