A rare and up-market Hofner model with elegant art deco lines, this 462 is both eye-catching and enjoyable to play. The classic 16″ wide body single cut away carved spruce top has distinctive bound cateseye f-holes and two original Hofner H518 ‘Toaster’ pickups as used by the company in the period 1960-61. The compensated tailpiece, carved pearloid pickguard and indeed all hardware items are original and in excellent condition. A sophisticated blonde Hofner at home with jazz or rockabilly, with good neck set and low action. Electronics are serviced and fully functional. Comes with 1960s Stamford two-tone hard case as shown.
