Over the years, classical nylon string guitars have been in almost continuous production at Maton.  Many, including this one, feature Maton’s non-traditional but extremely strong and effective neck body joint which gives excellent access to the higher frets.  A close-grained Spruce top with traditional fan bracing, Mahogany sides, and Queensland Maple back provide for a strong, stable and extremely light weight and responsive instrument. The traditional slotted headstock is perfectly sculpted and the original tuners are in excellent functional condition.  Showing virtually no signs of playing wear, this example, dating to June 1972  is a pleasure to play.  Comes with a gig bag, but we have vintage and new case options available to suit, if of interest.
