SOLD – Hofner Congress 1964

$750.00

Here we have a clean old Hofner Congress with serial number 14075, delivered by Hofner’s global distributors Selmer in London in 1964 to an Australian retailer and thence to its original owner, who appears to have cared for it well and played it gently.  Nut width is 1-11/16”, full D neck profile, almost no marks or signs of wear on the body, neck or frets, and pleasant to play with a responsive and balanced tonality. Signs of Neck/body joint reset (please see photos), strong with no movement whatsoever.  We’ve provided a fret polish and set up.  This guitar comes with its original hard case, a green-lined black Stamford made in Chatswood, Sydney.
