SOLD – Fender Mustang 1967

Completely original 1967 Fender Mustang in Olympic White (although for the Mustang it was just called ‘White’) nitro, aged to cream with wear and fine crazing but no flaking; original tortoiseshell pickguard. The neck is the larger of the two sizes offered, being a “B” 1-5/8″ at the nut and a 24″ scale length. (A smaller 22-1/2″ “student” neck with a 1-1/2” wide nut was a catalog option.) The neck heel stamp is October 66 and the neck plate serial number 183997, but the lack of a ‘contour body’ decal on the headstock indicates early 1967 build.  All hardware, pickups, switches, knobs pots, bridge (which is correct for ’67 with patent number showing) are original and fully functional, including the tremolo arm which is in the excellent OHSC.  A smooth and charismatic vintage Fender, great player.
