SOLD – Fender Super Champ 1984
$2,195.00
Looking very much like a slightly enlarged blackface Champ, at 18 watts the Super Champ is as loud and toneful as a vintage Princeton Reverb, without the big price tag. Designed for Fender by Paul Rivera, this is a compact traditional Fender valve amp with vintage tone to match its appearance. And for good reason: the hand wired non-PCB design is more robust and toneful than some of Fender’s other 1980s offerings. Features the traditional Fender spring reverb, and with a couple of very user-friendly tone options: the Treble knob is push-pull to engage mids and the Volume knob is push-pull to work with the ‘Lead’ control to dial in a very convincing tube overdrive at any desired volume setting. Having said that, the clean tones of this amp are chimey and match the blackface cosmetics. Condition is almost ‘as new’.
