Fender first introduced the Deluxe Reverb in 1963 by including a spring reverb tank in the cabinet. This 1966 Deluxe Reverb is the AB763 circuit that was offered at the time. This amplifier was designed to push twenty-two watts through a 1×12″ Fender Special Design speaker with two channels (Normal & Vibrato). It features the iconic Black Tolex with “Black Panel” face plate, Black/Chrome skirted control knobs, 3D Fender logo, two-button footswitch for Reverb/Vibrato and a modern amplifier cover for protection.
This 1966 Fender Deluxe Reverb is in excellent condition, we have given it a 9.6 out of 10. The original speaker is unfortunately long gone, however a newer 12″ Webber alnico speaker has been installed for player use. The Fender tube chart is intact and remains unharmed. The Filter capacitors have been replaced with modern parts and a few filter capacitors have also been replaced. Also the amp retains it original Woodward-Schumacher power Transformer and has been rewound to 240v. The Reverb/Tremolo footswitch is fully functional and includes its original cable. The footswitch has a few dings and scratches but the stickers are still in solid shape and has aged to a nice yellow tint.
This is a fabulous Blackface Deluxe Reverb and will be an amazing amp for it’s new owner for a very a long time.
