Guild JS-II Jetstar Bass 1973

$2,250.00

This Guild JS-II short scale (30-1/2”) bass was made in Guild’s Westerly, Rhode Island workshop in 1973. The previous owner had the bass professionally nitro-refinished to its original specification 2012. The dual cutaways on the slim solid mahogany body is light and balanced. The two Guild humbucking pickups (neck pickup with low cut toggle) and very smooth Mahogany Neck/Rosewood fretboard make for a refined feel and tone. The neck has a 1.6″ (40mm) nut and deep V profile; frets are in excellent condition on the Rosewood fretboard. Light at 7lbs 12oz (3.53kg), the bass feels well balanced in hand and on a strap. All hardware is in excellent condition, including the Schaller-made tuners and stock bridge with roller saddles. The original wiring harness has untouched solder joints, with Stackpole pots that date October 1973. The bass comes with its original brown Guild hard case with orange velour lining, also in excellent condition.
