1965 Guild F50

Here we have a totally original 1965 Guild F-50 acoustic guitar which, according to Hans Moust’s ‘The Guild Guitar Book’, is one of only 18 F-50s made at Guild’s Hoboken workshop in that year.  This is a full-size acoustic with a 16.5″ lower bout, and 4.5″ depth. Made three years before export restrictions on Brazilian Rosewood came into effect, the rare Dalbergia Nigra back and sides are paired with a beautifully even-grained Spruce top. Both the top and the back of the body feature 6-layer white-black binding, while 4-layer binding adorns the fretboard. Deluxe features include the original Grover Rotomatic tuners and elegant 2-tone pearl fret marker inlays. The rare premium tone woods and fine traditional making of this guitar deliver an outstanding sound, and effortless volume.  Frets are in very good shape;  action is medium and very playable, but with room to lower the bridge saddle if desired. Overall  condition is very good+, with the only issue being two thin stable grain separation repairs to the upper treble bout and minor signs of playing wear.  Comes with its original black Guild-logo hard case in fully functional good condition.
