1966 Fender Jaguar

$7,800.00

Introduced in 1962 as Fender’s premier electric guitar, the Jaguar model received additional features in 1966, including a bound fingerboard with pearloid rectangular inlays and the deeper C profile neck shape seen here.  On this Jag the neck measures 1” deep at the 1st fret and 1-1/8” at the 12th, and with lacquer naturally worn from playing, this guitar truly has the classic vintage Fender neck feel.  A wide range of tones are available from the original pair of grey bobbin single coil pickups with staggered alnico pole pieces. The ‘Low Cut’ two-way toggle and ‘Rhythm Circuit’ offers brighter and fatter/darker, tones respectively. The sophisticated patented tremolo system works well, in this case enhanced with an  upgrade to quality Mastery bridge (original bridge in the case). Weighing in at 8lbs14oz, this vintage Jaguar is in excellent original and cosmetic condition apart from serious but totally smooth arm wear on the lower bass bout. Comes with its original Fender hard case in good condition.
