Arguably the greatest guitar amp design of all time, The 5E8-A circuit was Leo Fenders pinnacle of the 1950’s Tweed era amps. Loud , clean, full rounded yet tight bottom end, this amp alongside it’s smaller sibling the 5F6-A Bassman is the basis that spawned a generation of Rock N Roll. The Keef is named after a famous Rolling Stone who used these rarities throughout his career to this day.

This is the circuit Marshall copied for their JMP monsters of the late 60’s / 70’s , Nearly all Amp builders today have borrowed from this circuit , Why ? Because it’s SO good.

The Keef is a replica of the 1959 Leo Fender amp. It’s cleans are second to none, cranked it has the valve driven overdrive that guitarists have chased since the dawn of tone. 80 – 100w is loud , crazy loud , so Amwatts added a PPIMV (Post Phase Inverter Master Volume) to tame the beast,
