Gibson C1 Classical 1963 – SOLD
$950.00
As one of America’s premier guitar makers, Gibson introduced several classical nylon string guitar models including this C-1, during the folk music boom of the 1950s and ’60s. Made in the original Gibson facility in Kalamazoo Michigan, with the high quality tonewoods available to Gibson, this guitar is a traditional classical design with fan-braced book-matched Spruce top, Mahogany back and sides, Mahogany neck with slotted headstock and Rosewood fretboard and bridge. There are almost no signs of playing wear on the body, neck, fretboard or frets and the overall cosmetic condition is close to excellent.
It appears that the bridge of this guitar became loose at some point and a previous owner has reset the bridge with correct scale length placement but slightly offset to the bass side of the centreline of the guitar. We have tidied up this work and the guitar is fully playable, but for the above reason the asking price is significantly less than the current market value of a 1960s C-1 Gibson.
