Gibson ES-335TD 1960

This beautiful 1960 Gibson ES-335 is a great example of a killer guitar that has been played and loved all its life. It has the orginal PAF pickups, dot neck, long guard, mahogany and maple body, and original factory stop tail.

The maple ply top is part of a 335’s intrinsic beauty and combined with a vibrant three-tone sunburst, results in the style of guitar we all love.

The neck is a classic slim D shape and feels great to play. The back of the neck is well lacquered still with some wear. The tuners have been replaced and the crumbly originals are included. The frets and fretboard are in excellent condition. The plastics are in great condition and the guard is straight.

The electronics are original with the exception of the tone pots being replaced with push pull variants that provide a wonderful out of phase sound.

At some point someone has installed a Bigsby on the guitar which is now long gone. The holes in the body have been expertly repaired but can be seen in the photos. The stop tailpiece has been upgraded and the original Gibson ADR-1 is in the case. 

This guitar comes with its original period correct Australian made Stamford case which were standard issue for both Gibson and Fender guitars and  provenance, including original purchase receipts, photos of the original owner, and other various documents (see photos for more detail)
