The ‘Soloist’ series of amps in cream Tolex are among the most attractive of the Goldentone valve amps made by the Rose-Morris company in South Melbourne in the 1960s. This is a 1963 ‘Model 1761’ with 30 watts of valve tone, plus spring reverb and tremolo. The control panel has 4 inputs with 2 volume controls (one with push/pull for Echo [Reverb], Bass, Treble and Tremolo Speed -all with ‘radar’ knobs. The cabinet holds an unusual – but great sounding – set up of six Rola 6M 15ohm 7watt 6” Alnico speakers. Original throughout including tremolo footswitch, this amp was fully serviced by Derek Lark in 2010 and has had limited home use since. An outstanding vintage Aussie amp, fully functional, and sounds as good as it looks. Comes with a non-original amp cover.
