Levin Royal c.1950

After visiting Martin & Co in the US in the 1890s, Herman Levin started his very successful guitar company in Sweden, offering all manner of guitars over the subsequent decades.  This 17″ wide archtop is a great example of its type, with the excellent European tone woods and quality fit and finish that Levin are known for. A previous owner has had this guitar  retro-fitted for electric playing with matching gold plated hardware.  There is a neat humbucker installation with volume and tone controls on the pickguard, a new adjustable bridge, Guild-style tailpiece and Ibanez pat pending tuners. The guitar feels, sounds and plays as good as it looks. The hard case is a somewhat rough and repaired, but functional.
