Maton Stradivarius Archtop Acoustic c. 1962

$650.00

A completely original Maton Alver archtop acoustic in good condition, with pale burst lacquer and natural relic wear.  The interior Maton ‘Alver 2C – Batch B.26′  label is intact. The non-trussrod neck has a bit more relief than ideal, but is playable and the lightweight, structurally strong body has good volume and tone. Tuners, bridge tailpiece all original and correct. We believe the pickguard is a newer pearloid replacement. The ‘Stradivarius Special’ headstock decal relates to the Adelaide College of Music, who ordered Matons under the Stradivarius brand to sell to their students in the 1950s and ’60’s.
