Teisco T62 Valve Amp c.1960 – Sold

$750.00

In the post WW2 era, Hawaiian steel guitar music was hugely popular in Japan well before the global ‘guitar boom’ took off, so Japanese makers were creating interesting tube amps to go with their various lap steel guitar offerings. Some 240V versions of these valve amps made their way to Australia in the early 1960s, before the market in Japan turned to ‘more modern’ – but less toneful transistor designs. This Teisco T62 is a great example, in two-tone pink-grey, 5 watts and 1 x 6” speaker, a single ended class A design with 1 x 6AV6 (aka 6B32) preamp tube and 1 x 6BMB (aka ECL82) driving the power.  All in excellent original, reliable and fully functional condition.   A perfect small amp for home, office, backstage or recording use.
