1982 Fender JV Stratocaster

This Stratocaster’s neck-end date 26 April 1982 and serial number 02087 sit very early in the JV series, and the thin poly finish suggests it is a JV62-65. Condition is excellent for a 40 year old. Weighing in at 3.6kg (8lbs) the body’s deep curves and dark Brazilian fretboard with 9.5” radius feel beautifully smooth in hand, the original frets in great shape, recently crowned and polished. The headstock decal and neck plate are pristine and other hardware all original. Under the pickguard we believe the 3 black bobbin pickups with beveled poles and cloth wire are Fender Fat 60s, reading N 5.73, M 5.72 and B 5.72, installed along with a 5-way switch. The original 3-way switch and tremolo arm are with the guitar which comes in an original JV gig bag, also in pristine condition. A great player with effortless feel and classic Strat tones!
