This Japanese-made Suzuki Model S1335 guitar is a great example of the high quality but mid-priced acoustic guitars that Japanese makers produced in the 1970s.
A 16″ wide traditional dreadnought design, the materials are: laminate Spruce top with laminate Mahogany back and sides, Mahogany neck with bound Rosewood fretboard and an black hardwood bridge. The modern headstock shape allows strings straightthrough nut to tuners, an excellent design for tuning stability. The sealed tuners are good quality (we believe Suzuki-branded Gotoh) and in perfect condition. Set up for excellent playability with a low action and frets at 90%, this guitar comes with its 1970s hard case.
*(NB: The difference between ‘plywood’ and ‘laminate’ construction is that the latter is made from thin layers of the same wood with the grain parallel rather than at 90 degrees, retaining more ‘solid wood’ characteristics.)
