Sold – Fender Musicmaster Bass 1971

The small Fender headstock decal, unique original lightweight ‘triangle’ tuners and serial number engraved on  the neck plate (rather than a headstock decal) identify this as a ‘first year of production’ Musicmaster Bass.  With a half-century of patina and light playing wear, this is a totally clean original bass with untouched solder joints, packing alot of vintage Fender feel and tone into its comfy sub-3.6kg weight.  Smooth maple neck with dark rosewood fretboard, lightly worn frets, classic black lacquer/white ‘guard, alder body. Great playability, with the shorter scale emphasising fundamental notes for a dense, focused voice.  Comes with a strong 1970s form-fit (non-original) hard case.
