Gibson Les Paul Supreme 2008

Introduced in 2003, the Gibson Les Paul Supreme sits at the top of the Les Paul lineup, with book-matched, carved maple top and back, and other unique features. Unlike all other Les Pauls, the Supreme has carved maple caps for both the top and back, with a mahogany body core chambered for weight reduction and resonance. Similar to the Les Paul Custom, the neck is mahogany with an Ebony fingerboard, but the Supreme has unique split-block Mother of Pearl fretboard inlays and a Globe / Supreme headstock inlay. Hardware is all gold plated. Notably, there are no back plates;  electronics are accessed via the oversized output jack plate.

The iced tea sunburst finish on this Supreme is gorgeous, with a real vintage ‘Paul vibe. Both the top and the back have vibrant depth and figure in the maple, with a rippling effect in reflected light.  Overall, the guitar is in excellent condition with negligible signs of wear; it also plays as well as it looks. The 490R neck and 498T bridge pickups, together with the chambered body provide powerful rich tones with a noticeably airy sustain. The original white-lined black hardshell formfit  case is also in excellent condition, and is included.
