From the soft faded ‘burst in Violin Finish, to the Canadian maple top, Mahogany body, one- piece Mahogany set neck with late-50s style deep C profile, bound Rosewood fretboard, bone nut, etc, this Tokai LS136 VF really does capture the look, feel and tone of a vintage Les Paul. The hardware is also high end: the Kluson style tuners, Tune-O-Matic style bridge with brass saddles, aluminium tailpiece, two PAF-style alnico 5 humbuckers are all quality in-house Tokai made. The 3-way switch and jack socket are Switchcraft. This guitar also features Tokai’s Sound Enhanced Body (SEB), in which the central of the three body layers is made with the Mahogany grain running vertically between the top and the back to enhance vibration transfer through the centre. And yes, this guitar has extreme responsiveness and sustain. All of the above is in excellent condition, including a deluxe Tokai gig bag.
