The late-1950s narrow panel tweed Fender 4×10 Bassman amp is often held up by players and music industry professionals as one of the greatest guitar amps ever made. This amp was commissioned to recreate exactly that 1958 vintage tone, look and vibe, using the best components available, via a Weber kit in 2014. Central to the amp are Weber power and output transformers matched with 2 x 6V6 power tubes for 40 watts of classic tone. All other components are equally high grade. Four Weber 10″ Alnico ‘1279’ speakers complete the picture. Hand-wired point to point by Canberra amp guru Derek Lark, this amp has had sparing home use only, and is now offered for sale in ‘as new’ condition from the original owner. Sounds as good as it looks.
